Filters Assist

Filters Assist is an online tool to compose Actionscript filters in an artist friendly way, and then obtain the sample code to use the visual effect acheived wherever you want.
Filters Assist is in beta. So I apreciate features requests and bug reports to make this tool better.

Filters Assist is an ideal tool to incorporate it into a development pipeline for flash projects where you usually has artists and programmers. Can be used by artists to compose text headers, or other text inside the flash project which requires decoratives visual effects and then send the obtained code to the programmer.

How to use it:

1.- Choose your sample text, font, colors, etc.
2.- Add your filter, clicking on the “Add” button .
3.- Tweak your filter parameters as you wish.
4.- Add other filters if you want.
5.- When you finish and got the wanted visual effect, press “Code” to obtain the code.

The code you obtain will give you the Actionscript code to obtain that visual effect with filters on any DisplayObject (Sprite, MovieClip, TextField, etc) But not gives you the code to create the text or image that you are looking at these are only for testing purposes and the objective is give you an easy way to configure the BitmapFilters parameters so you can use them anywhere.
